Musical participation should be an
enjoyable and uplifting experience, fully available
to all children irrespective of academic ability.
This depends on the acquisition and development of
specific skills through personal involvement.
All classes follow the Music Express Scheme which is
taught by a specialist Music Tutor. In addition to
this we have an Infant and Junior singing time in
which all children take part. Pupils are given vocal
training in a fun singing situation and are prepared
for musical productions and concerts. All pupils are
given the opportunity to play tuned and untuned
percussion instruments and Junior pupils also learn
to play the recorder and study basic theory to
improve their musical knowledge.
