Early Years Childcare Vouchers and Other Assistance with Fees

We are conscious of the fact that, while not the most expensive Private School in the area, fees to attend Crowstone represent a substantial commitment from you as a parent financially. We currently operate in partnership with Accor Services  and Busybees  as well as the government backed Early Years scheme to provide assistance with fee payments. There are many other schemes available - if you are aware of any such schemes, please let us know and we will be pleased to consider them.

Please find below some information you may find useful:

"Free" Early Learning for Three and Four Year Olds
Early Learning places are provided by the Kindergarten and Reception departments here at Crowstone. They are not "free" places but receive a proportion of tuition fee subsidies which are available to all three and four year olds based on the number of sessions attended for any one term.

"Three and four year olds in England are entitled to a minimum 12.5 hours of free learning per week for 38 weeks of the year. This can take place in nurseries, playgroups, pre-schools or at their childminders.

This will rise to 15 hours a week from 2010, delivered flexibly over a minimum of three days."

This somewhat complicates matters for us here at Crowstone as we are at School for only 35 weeks per year. Also, 12.5 equates to five free sessions at £9.00 per session per week. The total value of entitlement should change depending on the term they are applied to: Autumn Term 14 weeks (£630 entitlement), Spring Term 11 weeks (£495 entitlement) and Summer Term 10 weeks (£450 entitlement). However, to simplify matters we apply the average to each term of £525 for the maximum of five sessions attended per week per term.

When does my child qualify for Nursery Entitlement?

Childcare Vouchers
We are currently running schemes with Busybees and Accor Services who provide Childcare Vouchers services and can represent a saving to you of around £1000 per year on school fees, not just for three and four year olds - there are many more companies such as this and we would be pleased to consider them if this type of support is offered by your employer.
